My philosophy about blog commenting is that I want to give do-follow links to good commenters. However, the amount of spam that was pouring in was overwhelming. I refused to turn off the ability for my guests to comment on my blog but I had to do something.

Blog commenting is very effective if done correctly. It is a great way to network and get quality back-links as well as get noticed by bloggers.

Twitter has been compromised. It’s spammers spamming spammers. Twitter should seriously consider discontinuing it’s allowance of auto-posting services if it want to survive the next wave of competition which is assuredly coming.

If a commenter/spammer leaves an irrelevant comment on my blog, this plugin offers them a second chance to get it right by sending them an email stating that their comment was not approved if you place it in the “SPAM” folder.
