Building niche websites is always something I have had tons of fun doing. Thinking back, I remember one of the first niche websites that I built was an Adsense site that queried links to actual PC game demo files.
If you’re not familiar with these, they are basically game demos for PCs that let you play through the first stage of the game (on average).
The site itself was an eye sore. I coded it in straight HTML (which I wasn’t even very good at) and then hotlinked to actual game files sitting on company servers.
I always made sure that the links worked, and I think that was one of the reasons the site did well.
Then, to monitize the site, I just added Adsense blocks to it. Did it make money? Yep. Sure did. I don’t have it anymore, but I wish I did.
There Will Be Winners/Losers
That was my first niche website and it started an entire line of successes/failures (we all have them).
One thing I have learned in this business is that you certainly can’t always judge a book by its cover, meaning, you can’t always tell if a site is a money maker simply by looking at it. As a matter of fact, some of the best performers I have run across were downright UGLY sites, but in the end, they had what the market was looking for.
Learning how to build niche websites is super, super, super easy to do, especially now that we have WordPress and cheap hosting. Highly targeted niche websites usually have much higher conversion percentages than do authority sites, hence their popularity.
That being said, were can one go to learn about building small niche websites, and when I say small, I am referring to websites with twenty or less pages of indexed content (well interlinked, I might add)?
Well that’s an easy one…FLIPPA.
Go To The Auctions
Flippa is, in my opinion, the premier website for getting some good exposure on the basics of building niche marketing websites…ones that actually make money.
If you are reading this article down to this point, you may be a niche marketer already, and odds are, you site(s) is/are NOT makeing money. Don’t feel bad. This is quite common.
The key is to look at the sites on Flippa that are selling for around $500. Generlly, sites sell for about 10X their monthly income, so if a site sells for $500, then generally, the market has confirmed that it is making about $50/month.
This may not sound like much, but if you have 10 of these small sites, then that is an extra $500/month sitting in your pocket of passive income. Truth be told, however, nothing is truly passive…everything has to be managed and updated occasionally.
Regardless, its a start…from that point forward, its “rinse and repeat”. Keep the winners and flip the losers on Flippa.
Lets Kick This Up A Notch
However, if you’re really looking to kick it up a notch, then check this out:
It’s BRAND NEW, And just about the most “ghetto” video I’ve ever seen…
$1,549.87 a DAY without ANY traffic?
No PPC, no PPV, no CPA, no so-called ‘push button softwares’ scams, no ‘loopholes’…
Something TOTALLY different.
…A REAL system thats been pulling in over $1,000 a day for 739 days in a ROW!
Best of all? He’s got LIVE VIDEO PROOF.
(You’ll even see REAL examples, not *just* his $400k a year clickbank account)
Nothing Compares
Honestly – This has blown me away.
It requires no traffic, no investment and absolutely NO experience.
And after finding out what the system is…I can confidently say it works, too.
In fact, the number of emails about this I’ve received ALONE is pretty ridiculous…and the fact that copies are VERY limited.
Means you’re going to want to jump on this fast.
Before it’s too late.

This sounds interesting I must say. I’ve never heard about money making websites being sold. And at about 10 times their income, our investment could be recovered in just about 10 months! That too if we go by the initial calculations. We’ll obviously try and optimize the website more to make it work at its full potential. Thanks for sharing this, Mark.
@Will
No problem. Flipping sites is a huge industry.
Mark
Hmm, I have never thought about going to a website such as Flippa. I will keep this in mind for the future. Thanks Mark.
@Robert
It is a great place to learn, my friend.

A niche that is not so common and still is a strong one and famous among readers might work amazingly well. Choosing a niche and developing it is not an easy task. However, such niches make more money and eventually turn successful in terms of effective blogging.
I have this dream of building up a niche site which covers this very important topic of relationships throughout in it and here I am talking about all types of relationships including the relations between parents and children, lovers, friends and everyone else. I would do this successfully with the help of your post.
Hi Mark, this is the first time I visited your site. I found lots of informative post here. I will definitely be coming back. If you are just starting your online business, choosing the perfect niche is one of the hardest things. You need lots and lots of research and if you do it correctly and be competitive you might actually succeed.
