An active male leads a lifestyle that includes walking more than three miles per day along with regular physical activity to perform daily tasks.

Age Group between 30yrs. to 50 yrs.: Male between the ages of 31 and 50 who lead a sedentary lifestyle should consume 2200 calories daily. Males who lead a moderately active lifestyle should consume between 2400 to 2600 calories per day. For active males between the ages of 31 and 50, caloric intake should reach between 2800 to 3000 calories per day.

Age Group between 50yrs. and above: Sedentary males over the age of 50 should consume 2000 calories daily. For males over 50 who participate in moderate active, caloric intake should be between 2200 and 2400 calories daily. For active males over 50, then it recommends 2400 to 2800 calories be consumed on a daily basis.
